The Two Hands Project is a both a forthcoming documentary and a collection of recorded material related to Hacker Spaces and the Maker Movement. Recorded primarily in the month of September 2009, taking advantage of an all-you-can-fly airline special, a crew of young filmmakers traveled around North America to record interviews, landscapes, stories and events. In the end, dozens of hours of tapes were filled, the full footage of which has to be made available in this archive.

There are roughly 44 hours of footage in this archive, some of which had audio recorded separately (there is an audio set within this collection to pull from). In most cases the footage has derived properly, meaning you can embed it and download recompressed versions, as well as download the original versions (roughly 13gb for each hour).

Future plans are to edit the footage into a cohesive documentary to tell the fascinating story of these spaces and the thinking behind them. The crew for the Two Hands Project was Bilal Ghalib, Paul Jehlen, Jordan Bunker, and Patrick Buckley.
